We cannot allow India's fate to be inevitable poverty

The Bartimaeus-Project helps orphans, beggars, and single-mothers in India to help themselves - where the need is greatest.

Children whose parents' death left them to fend for themselves on the streets. Beggars, or 'The Untouchables' are born into their particular caste and have hardly any chance of escaping exclusion from society. They suffer the most dire need imaginable. Single mothers practically never receive maintenance or help from the state, they have to support their children as best they can alone. Their fate is as much a part of India's day-to-day life as is progress and modernity in India's towns.

The Bartimaeus-Project will address the poor living conditions in a Slum of 25 families in Kolkata.

The aim is to improve the health and economic conditions of this beggar community.

This is how you can support the Bartimaeus-Project to help India's poorest.

Whether you decide to donate your money or your time, or whether you support the Bartimæusproject with your prayers; every kind of help is sincerely appreciated.

We have local staff at any location of activity in India. And there are so many different ways of helping to support the Bartimaeus-Project. You can give a beggar-child the chance of learning to read and write by contributing a small donation. All financial gifts of Donations given in Switzerland will be fully transferred to the Indian Branch of the Project. The project workers in Switzerland and Germany all work on a voluntary basis.

Whether you decide to donate your money or your time, or whether you support the Bartimæusproject with your prayers; every kind of help is sincerely appreciated.
